TIKKUN by Rahel
Rahel released "TIKKUN" in 2004. It is a collection of the ten healing psalms revealed by Rebbe Nachman's and since known as the "Tikkun HaKlali".
Rahel "received" these musical versions of verses from the Tikkun HaKlali over the course of two days in 1995. It proved to be a healing tool for her during a difficult time. She recorded them onto a cassette tape as she received them. This helped her heal. Rahel is also in the practice of recording any music that comes her way for future use, or not.
The healing now done, Rahel put the cassette tape on the shelf where it sat until 2004. The music and psalms were calling out to her again. This time it was a calling to share them with the world.
Re-working the music only a little bit, Rahel recorded the CD in only a few short sessions. G-D had provided two musicians, perfect for the music, and together they recorded the songs "live" in Chris DelRossi's "Cat's Room" studio in NH; Aaron Tyne on Oud, Sitar and Doumbek, and Greg Reinauer, then a senior in High School, on the fretless electric bass.
Channa, Rahel's friend in Israel, suggested Rahel record an acoustic version for those who might find the additional instrumentation distracting. This took place a bit later in Jim McClure's "Betsy's Folly" studio. Jim also put together the final graphics and completed the production. He learned some Hebrew in the process too!
This is a unique piece of work that was most definitely Divinely inspired. Rahel has received wonderful positive feedback from those who have listened, heard, purchased the CD, or attended an experiential meditative concert.
